Day Two

Takes 21 days or something to start a habit, so let's get it!

One thing on my mind this past week is water intake; I'm never getting enough. It's not the taste, cause really, there is none... it's the forgetfulness. So! As a part of my morning routine - before I do anything else - I consume a half liter of water, fresh out of bed. Surprisingly I feel much more healthy and vigorous (unsurprisingly I hit the restroom multiple times in the morning hours).

In all seriousness though, what something you could add/ remove from your routine that may benefit your productivity or energy? Is scrolling an issue? Spend just a little too long in the shower?

God's been teaching me that stewardship with time is a form of honor. And unfortunately, this means wasted time is dishonor. Not to be a downer, but how much respect do we lack as an American society, as a global one?

Now to differentiate, breaks are healthy and actually commanded! (see keeping sabbath set apart in original commandments). In no way am I suggesting we tear down recreation all together -- what's being spoken is WE MUST UTILIZE OUR BREAKS TO BRING HIM GLORY.

How? By one, ask Him how we should spend our time.

And if He doesn't answer? He already has.

Ephesians 5:15-17

"Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is."

So, like the waterfall above, if we construct our time and will to His we will flow forth from the "spring of life" and not from the flesh (in which death resides). So drink up! Don't forget, make a habit of it :)
